Our Commitment to Accuracy

All tax calculations on ExactTakeHome use IRS Publication 15-T methodology and official state tax authority publications. We do not estimate or round tax values - every calculation uses the exact tables from official sources.

Data Sources

Federal withholding: IRS Publication 15-T (2026)

FICA: Social Security Administration 2026 announcements

State income tax: Each state's Department of Revenue official withholding instructions

All sources carry effective dates and are updated annually.

Automated Testing

Our calculation engine has 337 automated tests with 100% branch coverage. Every tax rule is tested against known inputs and expected outputs. Source: packages/engine/src/calc.test.ts

Corrections Policy

If you believe a calculation is incorrect, use the thumbs-down feedback button on any calculator page. We review all submissions and update data within 30 days of confirmed errors. Contact: privacy@exacttakehome.com
